Dear Data #2
For my second dear data assignment, I wanted to take advantage of taking a road trip to document all the times we had to drive or take public transit.
I first started by recording all the time we went driving throughout our trip. From there I was able to nail what I wanted my visualization to look like, and completed by diagram.
Looking back now on these visuals it really shows just how much we drive around on days where we had less of a plan.
Tuesday and Wednesday were standouts, where each day we often spent most of our time driving around to different places to walk around or see sights. That comes in stark comparison to days when we primarily drive, where we end up getting to our location and never wanting to get into the car again.
I would love to redo this experiment again in the future, and look even closer into the places we go and the amount that we want to travel based on it, or even see how time is affected depending on who is in the driver seat.
Overall, I absolutely love traveling and driving around, so being able to look into it deeper is really interesting to see!
